{"id":4506,"date":"2018-06-20T08:21:25","date_gmt":"2018-06-20T12:21:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iridian.com.cn\/?p=4506"},"modified":"2018-06-20T08:21:28","modified_gmt":"2018-06-20T12:21:28","slug":"information-technologist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iridian.com.cn\/en\/news\/information-technologist\/","title":{"rendered":"Information Technologist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Department:\u00a0\u00a0Corporate Services<\/p>\n<p>Location:\u00a0\u00a0Swansea<\/p>\n<p>Reporting:\u00a0\u00a0Manager of Corporate Services<\/p>\n<p>Date last modified:\u00a0September 21, 2016<\/p>\n<p>The Information Technologist will operate and maintain Iridian\u2019s IT infrastructure as\u00a0well as providing technical and operational IT support to all departments.<\/p>\n<h2>Major Duties and Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate, monitor and maintain Iridian\u2019s IT infrastructure including telecommunications,\u00a0network (wired and wireless), network exchange and file servers, firewall, back-up systems,\u00a0workstations, computers, RFID equipment, printers and phones.<\/li>\n<li>Apply IT software updates as required; monitor firewall activity; maintain active directory\u00a0structure; maintain and verify network and workstation backups.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend software and hardware updates to IT equipment as required.<\/li>\n<li>Assist users to resolve computer related problems.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure confidentiality of information, data integrity and security of the network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications and Skills<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>College Diploma in IT (computer systems, management information systems or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory,\u00a0VMWare (Microsoft or other certifications would be an asset; MCSE, MCSA, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in software and database development would be an asset\u00a0(Delphi, WinAPI, MySQL or similar database server).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Salary will be commensurate with experience<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will need to be able to work under tight deadlines;\u00a0evening and weekend work may be required with little notice.<\/p>\n<p>As Iridian is a \u2018Controlled Goods Program\u2019 certified company, a security check\u00a0(and fingerprinting) will be required for this position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please send resume submissions to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:kate.ferguson@iridian.ca\">Kate Ferguson<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Iridian Spectral Technologies<\/p>\n<p><em>We will contact only those considered for interviews.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Department:\u00a0\u00a0Corporate Services Location:\u00a0\u00a0Swansea Reporting:\u00a0\u00a0Manager of Corporate Services Date last modified:\u00a0September 21, 2016 The Information Technologist will operate and maintain Iridian\u2019s IT infrastructure as\u00a0well as providing technical and operational IT support to all departments.
