That is, the\u00a0left and\u00a0right eyes each\u00a0view a different set of wavelength bands spread throughout the visible spectrum so as to preserve the color balance.\u00a0 Typically there are three or more bands for each eye.<\/p>\n<p>With lamp-based projectors using\u00a0the 3D color banding approach,\u00a0a spinning\u00a0filter wheel is synchronized so that the left\u00a0and right eye images are transmitted\u00a0through the left and right portions of a filter wheel, respectively.\u00a0For laser-based projectors (\u201c6P\u201d) a different subset of red, green, and blue lasers is selected to project the left and right eye images.
